Necklaces

Necklaces are the center of Maggie's jewelry designs. You will meet many original designs in her web pages, as well as some of the more trendy styles--sometimes with a twist. Maggie is not a fan of all the trendy jewelry styles of this era, so she likes to pick-and-choose, or mix them with the classy, vintage or period-styles that she prefers--that's the twisty part. The motif of parts of the motif she developed are applied to bracelets, earrings, hair garlands, and anklets. Ooooo, you say, matching items. Maggie doesn't always follow the "coordinating-credo" herself (she's a little wild and experimental in her own apparel and accessories), but she understands the emphasis the fashion industry has on matching pieces. Please enjoy these unique, hand-made designs.

A word on materials: Maggie has quite a repertoire of materials that often spill out all over her workshop (bedroom). For stringing, she likes to use invisible nylon cord, nylon string (for seed beads), plastic coated steel wire, sterling silver eyepins, elegant sterling silver figaro chain, and silky colored cording (probably also nylon). I guess, there is a lot of nylon in there. This is a very strong synthetic polymer (that Maggie once had the opportunity to make in Organic Chemistry class). This material was quite an innovation for many industries, but in jewelry it means a long lasting piece.
